Dusty Ciggaar is gekozen tot beste jonge gitarist van Nederland toen hij 14 jaar oud was. In de Finale van de Sena Guitar Awards in Hilversum heeft hij de hoofdprijs in de wacht gesleept.

Dusty begon al op jonge leeftijd met slagwerk. Hij kreeg les van Timothy van der Holst en speelt tot op vandaag vaak mee met zijn vaders band The Tone Twisters.

Zo’n negen jaar geleden is hij met gitaar begonnen, eerst heeft hij les gekregen van zijn Oom Jerry Brown en daarna van Erik Bal van het Rotterdams Conservatorium. Tegenwoordig doet Dusty de opleiding gitaar van het Rotterdams Conservatorium.

Dusty began at a young age playing drums – taking lessons from Timothy van der Holst, and still today continues to play drums for his father’s band: ‘the Tone Twisters’.

About 9 years ago, he began to play guitar, first of all taking lessons from his uncle – Jerry Brown, then with Eric Bal from the Rotterdam Conservatorium. He is now studying guitar at the Rotterdam Conservatorium.

He plays a vintage Fender Strotocaster and a handmade Valvetech amplifier.
